Like Kareena, I am ready for marriage too: Priyanka Chopra

Actress Priyanka Chopra, who is looking forward to Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor wedding, says that she is ready to settle down, but is unable to find her Mr. Right.

"From the age of four I have been waiting to get married. I am ready for it. My mom, dad are also ready but the only problem is I am not getting Mr. Right. So that is a technical problem," Priyanka told reporters Thursday when asked if she is planning to settle down too.

Priyanka, who has turned a singer, was talking at an event to unveil her first single "In My City".

Meanwhile, Saif and Kareena are likely to tie the knot Oct 16, and expressing her happiness for them, Priyanka said: "It is a beautiful thing that she is getting married. I feel it is the most beautiful beginning of a new journey. To me, Saif and Kareena make a wonderful lovable couple. I am looking forward to their marriage."

However, neither Saif nor Kareena has confirmed their wedding date yet.

Music journey toughest, yet most enriching

PC, who has unveiled her debut international music single "In my city", says the journey to create her own music has been a learning experience. 

"This is the culmination of a two-year journey that has been the toughest yet most enriching experience of my life, while also marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter," Priyanka said in a statement. 

"In my city", featuring international singer will.i.am, is produced by RedOne and Brian Kennedy. It is an emotional and feel-good song, which was unveiled at a ceremony in Mumbai Thursday, and launched on Thursday Night Football on the NFL Network, internationally. 

Priyanka, a National Award-winning actress and former Miss World, is undoubtedly proud. 

"I walked into this as a novice, with no training or experience of making music, and today, as I share my music with the world, I hope that I have been able to create a sound that India would be proud of," said the 30-year-old, whose singing genes come from her father. 

"In my city" will be made available across various platforms internationally over the coming weeks. This is the first single from Priyanka's much-anticipated debut album, which is expected to be released early next year. 

Priyanka worked with pop icon Lady Gaga's manager, Troy Carter, for the album. 

Happy with the result, Carter said: "Priyanka has been working diligently over the last year on her music, so it's rewarding to be able to see her present it for the first time in her home country." 

The debut single will be available across all physical and digital platforms Friday, exclusively on Universal Music.

BITCHY: Was Priyanka behind Ranbir, Kareena not sharing stage?

It would have been the first time that Kareena Kapoor and her cousin Ranbir would be on stage together but for Priyanka Chopra! 

Thanks to Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra's infamous war of words on Karan Johar's TV show, a first time-ever moment in Bollywood could not take place. 

The makers of a reality TV show wanted Bebo and her cousin Ranbir Kapoor to appear together on the stage to promote their respective films. However, given the alleged acrimonious relationship between Bebo and Piggy Chops, who is Ranbir's co-star in his film, this coming-together did not happen. 

Our source says, `In the context of the Kapoor family being a part of Bollywood since the last 80 years, it's sad that Kareena and her cousin Ranbir have never appeared together on the stage ever. The makers of the show wanted to make this possible.` 

Apparently at the last minute, it was decided that it could not go as planned. The source adds, `Everyone realised that it would not be possible to get Kareena and RK's co-star Priyanka Chopra on the same stage. That's why Ranbir shot his portions on Friday whereas Kareena went live on the show.`

First look at Aaradhya Bachchan's face and her growing up

Aaradhya Bachchan, the daughter of film stars Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, is growing up fast away from the prying eyes of camera.

A protective Aishwarya always wears a strap to hold Aaradhya wherever she goes. She is mostly dressed in pink while her mom dressed in dark colours.

Having been blessed with a daughter in November last year, doting father Abhishek Bachchan says he is thrilled that little Aradhya is the focus of everyone's attention.

The Bachchans have been fiercely guarding the latest member of their family ever since Aishwarya gave birth to the baby girl on November 16 last year.

In close-up of the image circulating in the media, Aaradhya seemed annoyed at the invasion of her privacy and perhaps at the exploding flash bulbs of the waiting paparazzi.

This picture of Aaradhya was doing the rounds of the media on September 19, as the first close-up of her face, in the arms of her mother who has so far been very careful of covering her up from the tip of her hair to her tiny toes.

Fans and the media have been eager to catch a glimpse of Abhishek and Aishwarya Bachchan's baby Aaradhya but the new father says his daughter is not an "item to be displayed".

Apparently Jaya Bachchan calls Aaradhya 'strawberry'.

Some time earlier, this picture cropped up, that showed her a closeup of her face, including her eyes. It seems she has daddy Abhishek's eye colour.

This was the first photo of baby Aaradhya being brought home from the hospital. 

Abhishek says that he and his actress wife want to give a normal childhood to the baby and would not show her in public.

Abhishek said he is willing to do anything for her. He is earning money so that he can give her a good education and upbringing. 

Everyone in the Bachchan household is fascinated with Aaradhya, Abhishek recently said in an interview.

The couple, who got married in 2007, welcomed their first child on November 16, 2011. The 36-year-old actor has had his first big hit in action-comedy 'Bol Bachchan' after a long time.

Abhishek says he now has one more reason to rush back home. He is a family-oriented person and both his parents and his wife also are.
