What thrills Karisma Kapoor? Read more at: http://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/karisma-kapoor/1/236307.html

  • Actress Karisma Kapoor seems content with her life and says she is enjoying this phase of her life - professionally at least. Away from the rat race, she is happy that she can pick and choose her projects when she wants.

"I think it is a great situation to be in. I am away from the rat race, from major pressures. I can work at my own pace and do what I like doing. So it's a great thing to be," Karisma told IANS.

The 38-year-old started her Bollywood career in 1991 with "Prem Qaidi" and went on to do successful movies like "Anari", "Raja Babu", "Raja Hindustani" and "Dil To Pagal Hai".

Karisma took a break when she married industrialist Sanjay Kapur in 2003 and is mother to two kids -- daughter Samaira, 7, and Kiaan, 2. She recently made a comeback with Vikram Bhatt's suspense thriller movieDangerous Ishhqearlier this year.

It didn't garner too much success, but that isn't priority for her any longer.

"Success varies in so many ways. I think nothing is more important than my family and my kids. And people ask me that 'You kept away from limelight. Did you love that?' I loved that.

"I am a strong and professional person. So I think my career was important, but I don't think fame and success is everything in the world," she said.

Karisma is caught amid a lot of speculation about her personal life. Her divorce is said to be on the verge of finalisation, and she wants to keep her private life, private.

Asked what thrills her these days, the doting mother said: "I think running behind my kids. That gives me a thrill and taking each day as it comes. I am trying to do my best in whatever I do."

Karisma acknowledges that Bollywood is becoming bolder by the day, but as a mother, she feels it is not harmful for young minds and believes it is the parents' responsibility to monitor the content accessible to their children.

"What is important for parents is to just monitor what kinds of things are children watching through cinema, television or computer. I think that should be censored and monitored," she said.

Abhinav Kashyap, Arbaaz Khan patch up over Dabangg 2 Read more at: http://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/abhinav-kashyap-arbaaz-khan-patch-up-over-dabangg-2/1/236313.html

  • It looks like the war between Salman-Arbaaz Khan and Abhinav Kashyap overDabanggis finally over. The two parties were locked in a silent war when Abhinav refused to direct the sequel toDabangg, opting to move on to what were apparently greener pastures.

The Khan brothers saw red. Much acrimony was swapped on the issue.

Both parties seem to have matured in the past few months. On Monday night at a party thrown by producer Sunil Bohra at the Kino Cottage on Yari Road in Mumbai, Arbaaz and Abhinav not only hugged and greeted each other like long-lost friends but they also spent close to three hours chatting non-stop.

The party - attended by Neil Nitin Mukesh, Randeep Hooda, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Aanand Rai, Sudhir Mishra, Tutu Sharma - and many other open-mouthed onlookers, came to a standstill when Arbaaz and Abhinav headed towards one another.
    Arbaaz and Abhinav

"Abhinav arrived early in the evening. Arbaaz walked in post-midnight. We expected fireworks and in fact told our host to find a way to keep them apart. Instead of exchanging barbs and blows, Arbaaz and Abhinav were glued to one another like Siamese twins," says a guest, who still hasn't gotten over the shock of watching another infamous Bollywood battle come to an end.

The main topic of conversation between the estrangedDabanggproducer and director? Believe it or not, the friends-turned-foes' bete-noireDabangg 2!

An invitee said: "Abhinav quizzed Arbaaz aboutDabangg 2, how it has turned out, what is the plot, how Arbaaz has carried the story forward... Arbaaz was equally enthusiastic in telling Abhinav all the details. Arbaaz didn't hide anything about the sequel. He opened up completely aboutDabangg 2, telling Abhinav how he has treated the second part as compared with the first. Arbaaz also wanted to know a lot about Abhinav's next projectBesharam."

Sonu Sood - who starred inDabanggbut opted out ofDabangg 2 - also joined Arbaaz and Abhinav during the evening.

Kate Hudson's top secret wedding Read more at: http://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/kate-hudsons-top-secret-wedding/1/236194.html

  • Actress Kate Hudson, who is engaged to singer Matthew Bellamy, says she wants to keep details of their special day firmly under wraps until after it happens. But she says they already have a few details organised.

"I think until the day we get married, the answer is going to be, 'We have no intention right now of getting married'. And then you'll find out we got married," contactmusic.com quoted Hudson as saying.

"We have an idea. It's starting to formulate, but it's a timing thing. But honestly, right now, Matt is touring. Ryder is in school. I'm working," she said.

The 33-year-old also opened up about her beauty regime and said she is a beauty product junkie.

"I have quite a bit. I don't use all of it. You buy makeup because it's fun but you have your staples and for me, it's the most natural-looking makeup. Sometimes you end up buying some sort of crazy yellow eye shadow, but I end up using the same stuff. I'm so loyal to specific products.

"I am trying not to stay in the sun anymore. It bums me out. The sun makes me really happy. I'm really trying to stick on the SPF," she said.
