Priyanka Chopra offends Sachin Tendulkar’s fans!

Your favourite celebrity Priyanka Chopra has been hard at work on her forthcoming flick, “Barfi!”. And to make sure her efforts are lauded, the star has gone to the extent of drawing similarities between the hairdo she sports in the movie and Sachin Tendulkar’s mop of curly hair! Does this sound hideous to those who revere the ‘God of cricket’? Yes! When we spoke to a few supporters of the living legend, they were obviously offended. “Oh please, her look is so repulsive! How can she even think of looking like Sachin?” rued DU student, Akshat Gupta.

“A lot of us were disappointed when Sachin got his hair straightened. But if these are the kind of similarities we get to hear then Sachin’s choice – new hairstyle – is still sane,” chuckled Ginni Kapoor. For Dheeraj Sahni, a cricket enthusiast, this statement is nothing but a way of garnering publicity for PC’s film. “Isn’t this ridiculous? Why can’t people stop aping Sachin? If we are so inspired by him, shouldn’t we become as dedicated towards our work? Why should the focus only lie on what he wears and the style he sports? This attempt at focusing on similarities is so annoying.” Bhawna Suri thinks Priyanka was trying to being funny, but the trick hasn’t worked in her favour. “I think she looks like Kailash Kher. I don’t want to offend anyone, but why only associate curly locks with Sachin,” says Deepak Malhotra, another fan of Sachin Tendulkar!
