Chennai’s IPL team launched
In a glittering function that had loads of dance and music, the Chennai Super Kings
cricket team was launched in chennai on Saturday. The team which had
none of the foreign players, who could make it due to “prior
commitments”, was introduced to the gathering. Chennai Super Kings assistant coach, V.B. Chandrasekhar, described the team as a group of “fearless entertainers“.
K. Srikanth, the brand ambassador of the Chennai Super Kings,
explained why he was the perfect man to represent the team. “As a
player I never lasted more than 20 overs. Did I?” the former India
captain said.
M.S. Dhoni, the skipper of the team, said he is proud to
lead a young team. “Our ultimate aim is to win the Trophy,” he said
unveiling the team apparel whose sponsor is Reebok.
The Brand ambassadors of the team, actors Vijay & Nayantara, Gurdeep Singh, Chief Operating Officer, Aircel Cellular Limited, the team sponsor, were also present at the function.
